That's nothing. I tried to get on United in my Dengar cosplay.
They thought I was ISIS and beat me ten times as bad.
The thermal detonator prop didn't help.
Someone said ISIS took over the abandoned mos Eisley set.
Oh well--Obi-Wan did say the sand people would be back in greater numbers.

I don't know if anyone caught the announcement awhile back for the limited release of the signed hardback edition of the second volume, Brand Spanking New Day, but my copy arrived in the mail today. It's very spiffy! 
Reading through it, I arrived on the special colored, normal-sized comic where Opus and Abby are sitting in the dandelion patch. "Everything's" written on Opus' belly and Abby is consoling Opus, saying "...fine?" Opus replies with "Gimme a sec."
I remember this being a poignant response to an event in the world...except I can't remember what the event was. Does anyone else recall?
I would look up the date, but for whatever reason, the dates have been removed from all of the strips. I've narrowed it down to at least several weeks after Prince's death (April 21) and sometime before Ghostbusters was released (July 15).

That was probably the Orlando nightclub shooting.

Since when did Facebook require that people log in, in order to view these? That means anyone who has no Facebook account can't see them.
I know. It SUCKS. I'll just have to go to Go Comics from now on. Or follow it via Twitter.

Not to start a Facebook rant here, but they have sooooo many layers and complexities it boggles the mind.. I gave my personal page up a couple of years ago (and don't miss it a bit), but my company has a robust FB presence and as such, we have to monitor all the analytics and do deep dives into who is watching, when, why, where, etc etc etc etc... Everything someone does on FB is tabulated.. So when they allow non facebook users to access content, it's hard to collect that kind of data... Seriously.. I help give a monthly social media analysis to the powers that be here and the sheer amount of numbers and extrapolations would make even Steve Dallas shiver in his loafers...
I'm going to have to pick up the new book.. I haven't really been keeping up on the strip, so they will be new to me!
