As a veteran that supports service dogs, I so appreciate this. People and their fake service animals are a danger to real working dogs.
Those who fake having a service dog make it so much harder for the rest of us. A service dog would not be sitting in someone's lap in a restaurant. THey would be under the table, quietly being as invisible as possible- UNLESS they needed to perform a medical alert. Also, ESA's are not granted the same privileges as service dogs, and do not have the same public access rights.
Thanks for bringing attention to the mis-use of the service dog purpose and label. Definitely a situation that needs to be solved so that people who really need the benefit are able to get it.
As a user of a Guide Dog for the Blind, I can't possibly tell you how much I appreciate today's strip. I get so incredibly tired of people who truly believe that their emotional support animals are ADA compliant and can go anywhere with them. They absolutely cannot! And even worse are the people who buy their pets a service dog vest so that they can take them anywhere they want. Rant over. Thank you Berkeley!
2000 Olive garden meals? And it's the dog who died?
