Blood Oath

I just saw "Blood Oath" for the first time and I really enjoyed it but I kind of wish Koloth and Kang hadn't died. They could have come back in later episodes to fight the Dominion.

Well, look at this way. Koloth and Kang would have wanted to go this way. What's better to a Klingon than a heroic battle to the death with the dishonorable p'tahk who killed his child? I suspect Kor envied them, until Worf finally gave him an opportunity for his own glorious last stand.

I suppose you are right but I would have loved to see the three of them in a "glorious" battle with the Dominion.

I was okay with two of them dead. As said, it was a pretty good ending for them, and they at least kept Kor and did pretty aesome episodes with him.

Maybe they should never have introduced the Martok character, and just have used Kor instead. Imagine Kor taking Worf into his family
or Kor becoming chancellor at the end.
It would also have been pretty cool if it had been Kor in the Jem'Hadar prison camp instead of Martok.
I liked Martok, but compared to Kor, he was rather dull.

Not a bad idea. I always liked Kor, and what an homage to the original Klingon that would've been if he had been in Martok's place and if he became Chancellor. Or even Kang instead, as he's my favorite TOS Klingon. I think John Colicos died before those eps where Martok admits Worf into his family and when Worf makes Martok chancellor.

As for Koloth, his image was redeemed in this one ep. I love it when Odo asks him how did you get in here and Koloth bellows, "I am Koloth!" Odo says, "That doesn't answer my question." And Koloth hisses, "Yes, it does!"

I also got a kick at how Koloth got mad at Kor for getting drunk, accuses him of "sullying our great purpose," then yells at Odo, "KEEP HIM!"

I was suprized to see those three back at all How old were they 140+?
( isn't that a little old for a klingon warrior?)

I don't remember any reference to the average lifespan of a Klingon. A Klingon who died of old age is probably pretty hard to come by.

Yeah, I loved what they did with Koloth in that episode, too. This episode is a real gem, and so are the Kor follow-up episodes.
