Blatant Stereotyping in Discovery?

So, we know that Discovery is going to heavily feature an all-Chinese crew, led by Captain Han Bo, aboard a starship named "USS Shenzhou." Am I the only one surprised that the studio was allowed to greenlight this? It feels more than a little bit stereotypical - it'd be only slightly more so if it was the "USS Great Wall" led by "Captain Karate." It also runs counter to Star Trek's traditional theme of embracing diversity.

Granted, most of what we have seen of Discovery so far indicates that a great deal of the production has been a flaming dumpster fire, but still. Thoughts?

What the fuck is it with your threads?

1) The captain's name isn't Han Bo. And there is no all-Chinese crew.
2) Help me a second here: American captain Kathryn Janeway on a ship with an English name. Same for Captain Kirk. And a whole bunch of Anglo-Saxons on board.

Stop trolling.
