Blake's 7 (spoil me, please - possible spoilers)

I've read and heard rumblings about a new Blake's 7, but know absolutely nothing about it other than "it might happen."

Does anyone have any details? Which actors play what characters, when it's supposed to be out, etc.?

There was an announcement by Sky, I dunno 18 months ago?? And since then I don't think much of anything has been announced. Either they're really keeping the development under wraps or else it ain't gonna happen.

Every few years there's always a supposed B7 revival that ends up never happening do to rights and money and all that goodness. There are a few books that continue the series, and a some audio plays as well. I don't know how accessible these are though.

Basically two one-hour scripts have been greenlit as a dual-pilot, and if successful will be blown out to a (at this stage) six-episode season.

No casting decisions have been made. Barely any plot leaks have made it through.

The only thing confirmed is that it WILL be a reboot, not a continuation as originally planned. Paul Darrow (Avon) was linked to the project but when the continuation aspect was dropped he pulled out.

The original is available on dvd. Unless its gone out of print. There are features, too. And they look stunning, compared to my old vhs.

Can depend on where you are.

Seem to recall in the past the problem there was no R1 release and the R2/R4 discs were horrendously priced.
