TV Shows on DVD.com just broke the news that Universal is going ahead with releasing Bionic Woman Season 2 to DVD in North America on May 17.

For those who didn't buy the Six Million Dollar Man box set from Time Life, the crossover episodes from the "Return of Bigfoot" and "Kill Oscar storylines are being included. And apparently there may be a Kenneth Johnson commentary on "Doomsday is Tomorrow" which is generally considered the classic Bionic Woman two-parter.
For those thinking S2 coming out was a no-brainer, there was no guarantee it would happen. We're still waiting for the release of Kojak Season 2 years later, and there are many shows that get to their first season and no further on DVD releases (if they do, years pass between releases like what happened with The Mary Tyler Moore Show), so it's good to know S1 sold enough copies for them to give the green light. Now fingers are crossed for Season 3 (which apparently has never been legally released anywhere in the world, not even in the UK) to show up later in the year.
