Bill Cosby is planning a comeback, says publicist Andrew Wyatt. Cosby, 83, is in good health and discussing plans that would see the nine-time Grammy winner return to the stage in the United States, Canada and London, Wyatt told the L.A. Times.

Cosby intends to draw from his experience in prison — he served more than two years of a three-to-10 year sentence — where he was moved by the stories of fellow inmates in a Pennsylvania maximum security facility to address human and civil rights, Wyatt said.

Wyatt told the U.S. news show Inside Edition, “A number of promoters have called. Comedy club owners have called. People want to see him.” But the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village is not among the possible venues for a Cosby comeback. Both Louis CK and Aziz Ansari performed at the N.Y.C. club after sexual misconduct scandals, but owner Noam Dworman tells TMZ that Cosby is not welcome to even step foot in the location.

IMHO about Cosby, his time in the sun is up as a comedian and as an entertainer, and I doubt he has anything funny to say in a stand-up act that people want to hear (and I don't want to hear any more moralistic nonsense from him about black youth if that's all he has to say.) He needs to be realistic about him making a comeback and retire (he [hopefully for him] has enough fuck-you money tucked away to do that.)

Comedians require audiences. It would be awfully awkward at this point to have him stand up and expect anyone to laugh at his jokes. He'd have to completely rebrand himself.
 
In his heyday as a standup comic in the 1960s and '70s, Cosby was one of the funniest guys in the business. That's how I prefer to remember him.

If the man has any brains at all, he'll retire discreetly and quietly -- very quietly.
 
He's out of prison and can do what he wants. Not sure who the exact audience would be?

Bill Cosby: Himself is the funniest stand-up routine I’ve ever seen. Quoted it liberally for many, many years. “Dad is great! Gives us the chocolate cake!”

Utterly ruined for me now. His betrayal was a deep and profound one.
 
He'll be back on somewhere.. And people will watch just to see what he says. Just like all the pro sports players that were jailed then welcomed back.

My thoughts as well. There are even some god forsaken parts of California where Cos would get an audience. You would think that even these people would draw the line at a convicted serial rapist who has also been declared a violent sex offender, but I guess the thought of “owning the libs” is too much of an aphrodisiac.

Imagine, Cosby is Black and some of his victims were white and MAGAs will support him. Bull Connors looking up from hell with the biggest WTF expression of all time. :lol:
 
There will always be some people who'll go watch him. The question is: How many? Perhaps he'll get sick of performing before a sparse audience and stop by himself after a few shows.

Louis CK is performing five shows in Madison, Wisconsin, in a month or two, despite admitting that he jerked off in front of multiple women. Per the Wisconsin State Journal, tickets are selling extremely well.

There's always an audience.
