Big Brother Season 28 (2026) / Survivor Season 51 (2026 / The Amazing Race Season 39 (2026)

Timewalker

Cat-lovin', Star Trekkin' Time Lady
Admiral
And... it's that time of year again, where groups of strangers and not-quite-strangers and not-at-all strangers get together and try to use their social game to simultaneously vote rivals out, keep themselves and allies safe, and make it through weeks of competitions and twists in which we the audience collectively wonder: "What were they THINKING?!!!".

Big Brother premieres July 9.
Survivor premieres in late September, either 23rd or 30th.
The Amazing Race premieres September 24.

Big Brother includes new people and returning people, albeit with a catch. Some of the returning players are from different shows.

What we know now is that Angela is coming back (boo!).
Rick Devens, from Survivor, will be part of the cast (yay!).
I've seen a video in which Dee (also from Survivor) is going to be on the show.

REGARDING SPOILERS: We are all in different time zones. Please keep the name(s) of the evicted houseguest(s) in spoiler code for the first 24 hours after an eviction episode has aired.

So I know you probably haven't seen it yet.

So I'll just say, don't worry when you see the third returning houseguest. It's a prank. You'd be mad if that were the real person, but it's not. :)

I've just seen it. THANK GOODNESS IT'S NOT COMPLETELY REAL!

That would have been the shortest season ever for me, as not eve _______ could have made up for it.

So far I have generally positive reactions to the cast. Even Angela seems to have actually learned from her mistakes. Nobody I particularly dislike.

I was hoping Mallory would go home because she just seems like a bad player who's not going to be interesting. But she won the veto, she might be tough to get out because she seems like a puzzle whiz. Now I'm not sure who I want out, maybe Ashley because she seems like a game non-factor. Though I like Yash I don't think he lasts long. No real alliances, obvious physical threat, propensity to seek vengeance.

Jason I think I'm rooting against now, emotionally manipulating for the sake of emotionally manipulating Angela to the point of cruelty. Also wouldn't mind seeing Rome and Lyric gone, they seem nice but they immediately seemed to forfeit the game to smooch.

Is it me or does Howie look like the actor who played Claire's father on Heroes and the state senator on The Office now?

At this point if I have a day one pick to win it's probably Barrett. Just the right combination of smart, careful, social and low key. He fits the profile of a winner. I also like Drew and Melody though Melody's already been clocked as a smart player so might be on short time.

La Trice might be a dark horse just because I can not imagine anyone targeting her ever at this moment. Plus I think the Red Corner people are well positioned.

well mtv the challenge returns for its season 42

I'm looking forward to it. It looks like it's Paramount+ only now instead of airing on MTV, which I frankly like because last two seasons if I didn't watch it live I had to pay extra to watch it on Amazon.

What makes this season unique so far is that the lines were drawn so quickly. It really feels like 8 against 8 right now. (Also I know everyone's name a week in which hasn't happened in a long time).

Dee, Devins, Angela, Draw, Barret, Haley, Kamu, Chuck
vs
Melody, Mallory, Lyric, Rome, Yash, La Trice, Taylor, Jason

The last time I remember it getting this split down the middle so far was BB6. We'll see if it holds up or if alliances break.

I'm gradually learning to match names and faces.

I'm impressed with how well Angela's managing so far. And I look forward to a glorious revenge against Jason.

The showmance couple has to go.

I'll try and only say it once this year: Angela needs mental health help and CBS trots her out for ratings.

Julie is incredibly more irritating this year. Between the God and spiritual stuff she decided to dump in there when she stood by her sexual assaulter of husband, she's doing real poorly at trying to sell lines like her opening on Thursday about an "icon being killed by a velociraptor." The show is already corny as heck compared to Survivor or any of the other non-romance reality competition shows, but the show has completely jumped the shark instead.

Quite okay with Ashley "I'm never eaten a hamburger " going home. I disliked her from the moment we saw her intro & I'm glad we don't have to suffer through more of her. The quicker we can cut the showmance the better. Both Lyric & Melody can be gone sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I'm not into Melody, either.

And Julie can shut right up if Devens chooses to wear a Survivor buff (or something in that style). It's not like there's a visible Survivor logo on it that shows.

And now Angela has created whatever the Jackson/Jack etc. alliance was called, obviously showing their hands being pompous idiots when Rome rings the doorbell.

Rome shouldn't have pushed for safety for those others (of course Devens shouldn't have given him the opening for that).
