Big Bang Theory Season 9 Discussion (Spoilers included)

I was shocked that they didn't turn around and turn it into a dream sequence or some other way to worm out of it.
Not really the sort of thing the show does.

Didn't they have a dream sequence fake-out last season with Penny and Sheldon locking lips?

If the owner of the topic will not be against my interest..) Previously I read the book "Multiple minds of Billy Milligan" of Daniel Keyes which tells about psychological disease of one young man who had 24 personalities in one body..Very interesting history about real man, his problems and life..

As the "owner" of the topic ;) i guess he alludes to Sheldon's psychological state of mind.

The producers have always denied that Sheldon has any kind of mental problems much less the often cited Asperger's syndrome but given the show one can safely say that he at least has OCD if not some other problems.

However it's a slippely slope production wise because laughing at a person with mental problems is not something one should do.

I recall Sheldon kissing Penny, but don't know if it was a dream. Might be a nightmare for Leonard.

He did. Earlier this season. It was Leonard's dream, I mean nightmare.

I remember it now. Not really the sort of fake out/retcon that erases a major plot point, though. The bit is part of the credits and ends with Leonard waking up. They have a lot of fun with dreams on the show, but rarely abuse it.

Besides Jim Parsons is gay and has been in a relationship for the past decade or so. Cucuo did used to date Galeicki though.

Maybe it's just me but if something as big as the Star Wars premier (or something I knew he had been looking forward to for literally YEARS) happened on my birthday I'd tell my boyfriend to go ahead and enjoy...we'll celebrate my birthday later.

Just me? Ok.

And around the world millions of guys wish they were so lucky :)

Well, as they said in the episode their relationship was still in a pretty delicate state and Amy has never shown much interest in Star Wars so Sheldon let it go (in itself a pretty big deal for him to put someone else's wishes in front of his own).

It also led to a funny scene when it dawned on Sheldon that he had entered a minefield when he inadvertently even suggested going to the premiere instead of spending the day with Amy, in the past he would have been totally oblivious to it

As i said before i'm now totally looking forward to the fallout and the future development, as if Amy would be statisfied with a once a year encounter

stardream, Sheldon has always put himself first, so it was a huge step towards maturity that he celebrate Amy's birthday instead of thinking about what he wanted. A birthday only happens once a year, you can watch a movie any time. Now if Amy loved Star Wars, I'm sure it would have been different.

FPAlpha, I can't wait to see what happens with them now! The Shamy-ness has reached a whole new level!

You obviously have more history with the franchise (and the entire genre) than Amy has.

It's not just you, but it's definitely not Amy.

Since moving across the hall from Leonard and Sheldon nine years ago, I'm surprised Penny didn't go to therapy sooner.

So it turns out that Stuart became Howard and Bernadette's "Sheldon?" I can't believe he's lived with them for two years!

Someone needs to explain to him what the word "boundaries" means
