BF110 The Boy that Time Forgot. (Spoilers)

Guy Gardener

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
I saw Adric die when I was 6 years old. I think I was even more stunned that the credits were silent. It was like the saddest thing I'd ever seen on the telly.

Now this!

Thank you Big Finish for raping my childhood.

Andrew Sachs deserves every beating John Cleese gave him.

Opinions?

Of course there are Adric fans.

I'm guessing very few of you have listened to this yet?

Adric is back but portrayed by the fellow who was Manuel on Falty Towers.

He tries to get a leg over with Nyssa.

I think Trakens are quite repressed sexually.

Bit of a snub to Matthew Waterhouse though, or wasn't he available or willing to reprise the role I wonder ?

Logistics. Matthew lives in America. I have no idea if they asked him however? I suppose if he wanted to be involved before now, then he would have been involved before now, that within reason Big Finish would want to work with everyone associated with the classic show... Right?

If it's not Waterhouse doing the voice, then it's pretty meaningless. I'm surprised Big Finish would stoop to such gimmicky storytelling...

^ have you seen the synopsis of the plot?!

Adric is some kind of scorpion king on an alternative primitive Earth apparently

Bizarre.

Yeah, that would be my first impression as well. Actually, I'm scanning through the article about it in Doctor Who Magazine #397 (sorry, it's called Bad Wolf this month :D) and there's no mention of Adric at all, so I guess they want it to be a surprise? They do mention this scorpion king though. There's also a photo of the players, namely Sarah Sutton (who still looks Nyssa-cute!), Peter Davison and Andrew Sachs.

Sarah Sutton. All these beautiful woman he traveled with, and the silly noncenturian goes and falls for goofy looking child.

Wasn't there a book or other story from a long time ago that had the Master "rescuing" Adric right before the explosion and sort of brainwashing him?
I can't find any reference now.

That was a suggested gaming storyline for the late FASA role-playing game. I always thought it would be sort of a neat idea, myself, and it was just the sort of thing the Master would do...
