i wouldn't mind seeing a combination of both Type A (Those seen in Star Trek and Into Darkness) and Type B (Beyond uniforms) uniforms.

the new uniforms look better in the movie than how they did originally in promotional pictures but I still find them not realistic and practical compared to Kaplan's (first two movies) version. That zip on the back of the shirt is really really stupid (I keep thinking: how can you put your uniform on by yourself? Imagine you're sleeping and you're suddenly woken up by red alert and need to put the uniform on in a second) and the material is too stiff like they are made of neoprene. It doesn't look comfortable and I read some extras saying that it really isn't. Even Chris said that it kind of squeezes the fat on his neck giving the sensation you're suffocating lol. To me they still look like costumes not uniforms whereas Kaplan's version just looked like a realistic uniform.
so I'd keep the design but get rid of that stupid zip in the back and change the fabric material to something more soft and stretchy that gives the idea these poor people can easily put it on and they don't think about getting out of it all the time.

I used to own a TNG uniform, which has the zip in the same place. It's ridiculously easy to put on.
