Beyond the TREK!!!

Shatner in Tekwar! It was only a TV movie but I guess that counts. (Action Pack ruled)!

Nimoy in The Alpha Caper. A neat little pilot for a show that was never picked up.

Stewart in Conspiracy Theory. He makes a pretty good bad guy!

Andy Robinson in Hellraiser. Weird movie.

D. Kelley in Night of the Lepus. Most bizzare horror flick ever. :cardie:

not a movie, was recorded for BBC tv. Patrick Stewart in Romeo and Juliet. saw him live at the Royal Shakespear, fantastic actor. Also marvellous in a christmas carol as scrooge. a film i can watch again and again

I recently watched LEPUS with my wife..we were both smashed...you almost have to be to watch it. We followed it up with Shatner's INCUBUS but fell asleep..I couldn't understand a word of it!!

All I can think of are Andrew Robinson in "Dirty Harry" and Avery Brooks in "American History X".

If cameos don't count, I can't mention Patrick Stewart in "Robin Hood - Men in Tights". :(

Kirstie Alley in Shoot to Kill(1988)
Jeffrey Combs in The Frighteners(1996)
William Shatner in Miss Congeniality(2000)
Patrick Stewart in Conspiracy Theory and first 2 X-men movies.
hmmm why not Leonard Nimoy in Invasion of the Body Snatchers(1978)

p.s. i haven't seen any movies starring Deforest Kelly and Jeffrey Hunter but it seems they had decent movie career before Star Trek.

Nimoy in Kaufmann's BODY SNATCHERS

Shatner in THE INTRUDER aka SHAME

Shatner in THE ANDERSONVILLE TRIAL (though he is by far the weakest link - this was great because of Jack Cassidy and for once, Cameron Mitchell.)

Avery Brooks in AMERICAN HISTORY X

Andy Robinson in DIRTY HARRY

I cant belive nobody mentioned the ''ONE'' movie that actually had as the ''LEAD ROLE'' Pavel Chekov''(Walter Koenig) in the 1980's Sci-fi Classic ''MOONTRAP'' Hell the aliens were human/cyborg hybrids right at the time the BORG hit the screen! And it Co-starred Bruce Campbell! to boot!

John Billingsley (Phlox) in Man From Earth - some other Star Trek references in that movie too. Tony Todd stars also, and he has guest starred in various Star Trek episodes as several different characters. The screenplay for Man From Earth was written by Jerome Bixby, who also wrote for some of the TOS episodes. It is an excellent production and often overlooked film.

I don't think "Con Air" is that bad. It's one of a number of action movies that came out in the mid-to-late '90s that, while short on substance, plausibility, and emotional weight, were also marvellously entertaining due to enjoyably engaging (though frequently over-the-top) performances from leads and supporting cast, as well as very slick special effects and action choreography. Other examples include "The Rock", "Face/Off", and to a lesser extent, "Broken Arrow". Those first three I mentioned are the reason I actually thought Nicolas Cage was a pretty damn cool action star in the late '90s. I remained a fan of him as an action lead until "Gone in 60 Seconds" came along.

HMMMM.... I'd have to say that my favorite of what I've seen in depth is the Mayor of Sunnydale in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". He also played Tam on an episode of TNG. I know it was a guest role on TNG, but on Buffy he was a major second seasoner.

Also, Armin Shimmerman as the new principle after Principle Flutie got eated by the hyeina people.

And lastly, Nana Visitor on Battlestar Galactica. I know in terms of PLOT she was a cameo. But the role she played was meaningful enough in terms of heart and to President Rosiland that I feel it deserves a mention. And she was on there a lot longer than a cameo, it was definately a guest spot.

Oh yeah, Tony Todd as well. I saw him in a play at the Huntington Theatre in Boston MA years ago while i was in Highschool...It began with a "J"....I can't remember what it was but he was astounding in it as a main character.

The mention of Tony Todd ties in nicely to my last post. He was excellent as a really hot-headed, bloodthirsty, and intense (almost Klingon-like) henchmen of the villain in "The Rock" and his big scene with Nicolas Cage was hilarious. Harry Groener was indeed brilliant as The Mayor (the way that character was written and they way he played it, I think it's one of the greatest villains ever in any medium and the best one on Buffy after Angelus/Evil Angel) on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".
