Beyond the Black Rainbow

I just found the trailer for this new indie sci-fi movie on Blastr earlier this morning. It deffinitely has a '70s, A Clockwork Orange kind of vibe to it. At this point I haven't decided what to make of it, other than the fact that I do find the trailer rather intriguing.
Here's the description Blastr has:
Beyond the Black Rainbow, written and directed by Panos Cosmatos, is a Reagan-era fever dream inspired by hazy childhood memories of midnight movies and Saturday morning cartoons. Cosmatos brings a bold, Kubrickian vision to the screen in stunning detail in this sci-fi fable of a young woman imprisoned in an experimental laboratory and the enigmatic scientist who is her captor. Set in a futuristic 1983, Elena finds herself held against her will in a mysterious facility under the watchful eye of the sinister Dr. Barry Nyle. Pushed to her limits, Elena is left with no choice but to navigate an escape from her labyrinthine prison, in the process revealing its hidden secrets.

I saw the trailer a few days ago and I was highly intrigued. The trailer totally transported me back to the 70's, I could believe this was a movie filmed in the 70's and just unearthed, it felt that genuine.

Depending on the reaction it gets I'm almost tempted to rent it when it comes out on demand. According to the article on Blastr it's going be a OD release before it comes to theaters.
