Betty.....hands-down. No contest. Veronica has her pick of guys & situations, but Betty is the steady element in Archie's life. He needs to let Veronica go & deal with his station in life & the fact that he'll never have Veronica all to himself as Reggie is clearly her match in superficial heaven/hell. If not, Archie will forever be at the constant lack of mercy of the sadistic Daddy Lodge and the axe-grinding Reggie. Or, just waiting for Veronica to announce she accidentally got PREGNANT by one of her extra-curricular friends-with-benefits, if not by Reggie or Daddy themselves.
Veronica's no prize herself as she's never going to assert her own vision of her own future, forever dependant on the Lodge accounting/welfare office. You'll never see her wear hand-me-downs or go fishing or fix Archie's car together as a couple, offer to take Archie's newborn/toddler niece or nephew for the night (if Betty doesn't have his baby first), or rotate the tires/change the oil of her own vehicle.
There's obviously something going on with Daddy Lodge. You scarcely see him with Mrs. "Mom" Lodge & every time he wants something, he "booty-calls" Veronica to discuss her mall bills. Sort of like the way Miley Cyrus & Billy Ray Cyrus are almost always hanging off each other.
Don't get me started on Cheryl Blossom...fun masturbation fantasy, but she's just a junior league Veronica waiting for an opening to exploit when Veronica's down with the flu.

Reggie was the only other worthwhile guy in Riverdale High, that we were shown obviously there were other guys.
And I wouldn't say Jughead was gay on occasion he showed some interest in girls, but for the most part he was asexual. Girls just didn't interest him, probably because he saw what a wreck two of them made his best friend into, as much as food did.
But, yeah, I wonder what Archie had to make two of the better looking girls in the school (three if we're to count Cheryl Blossom) so head-over-heels in love obsessed with him. But, I honestly am not sure what Ronnie saw in Archie considering he'd never be able to provide for her in a way to satisfy her.
And, yeah, some of Betty's moments obsessing over Archie are not great.
And Moose and Midge? An overgrown stump could out-think Moose, but if he caught you,t hen you were in deep-assed trouble. I did like his "friend ship" with Dilton though.
