As for the original topic, that invitation is great!

Think it's more of a "in waves" thing. There's a big push in the early 20s, mostly people that have been dating from high school, or college relationships. Then there's a lull, and next big wave is the late 20s weddings. You missed the first wave, still time to fall into the second.

Just the difference between the group that gets married right out of school, and the next group that gets a job and settles in a bit first...
