Best two part episode ever

In terms of overall popularity, I would have to give the nod towards TNG's "The Best of Both Worlds, Parts I and II."

However, my personal favorite is DS9's "Improbable Cause/The Die is Cast."

This is a tough question! Way too many good ones. I suppose I'll have to go with "The Best of Both Worlds" (due to it's impact on the Star Trek franchise). Other favorites I have are "Scorpion" and "Dark Frontier." Basically, two-parters involving the Borg :borg:

Started it all - The Menagerie
Most important in recovering the franchise - The Best of Both Worlds
Personel favorite - The Forge / Awakening / Kir'Shara
Guilty pleasure - In a Mirror, Darkly

I, too, have to give it to "The Best of Both Worlds," but looking at the list, I'm surprised by the quality of the two-parters in DS9. While a lot of the two-parters on the list for the other shows disappointed me, consistently, the DS9 two-parters were great.

That being said, "The Best of Both Worlds" really defined what a good two-parter should be. Was it perfect? No. But, man, was that one loooooong summer!

Has to be "The Best Of Both Worlds", though DS9's "Improbable Cause/Die Is Cast" is also absolutely fantastic.
