What's the best and why?
Closest to TOS
best at exploring human condition
Good characterisaztions and story telling, even if some of the stories themselves were so-so
no techno babble
best music of series
Q was not a joke
Picard was not perfect
each character was different and had unique skills that added to the shows
I maybe in the minority here, but I actually enjoyed TNG's Season 1 from the get-go way back in 1987, in particular:
1.) The character of William T. Riker and his similarities to James T. Kirk.
2.) The show's emphasis on space exploration rather than the anamoly of the week stories that was all too frequent later on.
3.) No technobabble, except for a very brief scene with Wesley Crusher in "The Naked Now."
4.) Badass Ferengi with the whip, eventhough they were kind of gross and annoying as the main baddies.
5.) A dangerous and sinister Q.
6.) Space was an unknown, mysterious, and dangerous place.
7.) Like TOS, emphasis on action-adventure and morality tales.
Isn't there such a thread already in existance, like in here?
I guess I'm in the minority too.
Hey Good Will Riker- someone outthere agrees with me- Nice post!
It had a lot of great episodes like Conundrum, Darmok, Ensign Ro, The Inner Light and many others.
Exactly my opinion
It's a very hard choice since every season had good and bad episodes.
During the first seasons the characters only just started to evolve, while the in last seasons the writers sometimes seemed to run out of ideas.
I voted for season #3 because there the series already had overcome the teething problems and didn't suffer from old age yet
That's a tough one, but I went with season 6.
7 Lots more action
