Best TNG books?

I can't believe I forgot Dark Mirror! I see others have already mentioned it, but I have to add that IMO it's what the TNG-era mirror universe should have been. Spock failed 100 years ago and the stronger-than-ever Terran Empire is planning an invasion of our universe. Loads of body-swapping fun on an evil Enterprise-D.

Naming wise, I'm sure it was packaged as TNG to sell copies.

The original advance-marketing cover slicks did indeed read "Starfleet Academy".

Similarly, the crossover books in the "Double Helix" mini-series were each going to be in their various series (like the "Day of Honor" and "Invasion!" titles), but TNG was the highest selling book series at the time, so the mini-series got a TNG umbrella title.

Vendetta (Borg return, Planet killer, Guinan's sister)

"Soul sister". The Star Trek Office nixed the character being an actual El-Aurian sister.

Vendetta was my first-ever Trek novel and still a favorite :bolian:

I read it even before seeing Best of Both Worlds :)
