Best Star Trek Podcasts

Mission log, Earl Grey, Warp Five, and to the Journey are my favorite podcasts of any network. And The Ready Room.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned The Trekmate Family Network.

Set up five or six years ago, initially as just two friends sat around a microphone recording their podcast Trekmate, it's since blossomed into a network of shows from around the world. Initially they had just Trekmate and their supplemental show Ten Forward, followed by the now defunct Two to Beam Up (long-term Trekkie Marc taking his non-Trekkie wife Kirsty through 1960s Star Trek). Now they're joined by various other international podcasts such as the Deep Space Nine dedicated show In the Wilderness from Australia, The Delta Quadrant from America and Previously, in the Alpha Quadrant from Scotland and dedicated to Enterprise.

I'm a big fan of these. And I'm surprised that I hadn't posted these already. In fact, I'm due to appear on an episode of the main Trekmate podcast over the next couple of weeks. We recorded it a couple of months ago when they were still building up to their Trek-On convention but because they were rushed off their feet it hasn't been uploaded yet.

I'm still going through the huge back catalogue of podcasts though and it's proving to be a mission trying to listen to them in the order they were originally made. At the moment, I'm juggling Trekmate, Trekmate Supplemental, Ten Forward, In The Wilderness and Previously in the Alpha Quadrant.

Otherwise, I also listen to two podcasts called Engage. The official one and a UK one called The Engage Podcast (which got there before the official one), Star Trek Minute listening to them talk about Star Trek II one minute at a time, and Mission Log. In non-Trek podcasts I also listen to Back to the Future Minute, Gareth Jones on Speed, Radio Free Skaro, No Such Thing as a Fish, and Cornetto Minute (which is currently recapping Spaced before they jump into Shaun of the Dead).
