The Horatio Hornblower series from A&E.

TOS was originally pitched as "Hornblower in space".

I've just started watching this series recently. Very enjoyable and high production values for a TV movie. If anyone likes "Master and Commander" give it a try.

Which reminds me: Kill Bill itself could be a pretty good Jadzia Dax/Klingon story. Tarentino even gives us a head start at the beginning. Certainly not science fiction by any means, but neither were any of DS9's Klingon episodes, especially when a TOS-era Klingon popped up. Honor, revenge, h2h fighting, issues of family and lineage, etc. etc.
