Best ships for display purposes?

I'm looking to eventually have myself an entire shelf of all incarnations of the Enterprise from the original NCC-1701 to the Enterprise E. I've been looking at the Art Asylum light-up Enterprises and notice that they have The original Enterprise, the refit configuration, the Enterprise A, D, and E.

My questions are:
  1. For those of you who own these... How are they? What's the quality like?
  2. If I were to go with these, I assume that they won't be making the Enterprise B and C, so what would you say are my best options there?
  3. If I don't go with the Art Asylum ships, what would my other good options be that:
    • Won't empty my wallet faster than a car?
    • Won't be overly difficult to assemble?

I have the AA NX-01, 2 phasers, and some of the figures. in my 2 cents, they're top-notch.
I'm damn sorry that Playmates got the rights for the new movie.

The only reason I think that it makes sense with Playmates having the rights for the new movie is that they seem to have a larger scope with toy stores.

I went to Toys'R'Us last night because AA's site says they're a dealer. I couldn't find a darn toy made by them. Actually, they didn't have ANY Star Trek. However, Playmates seemed to have a presence... So maybe they squeeze it into the stores that way. :vulcan:

The only thing I'm worried about with the AA ships is that I heard that some people apparently got TOS Enterprises with skewed nacelles and the plastic is thin enough for the lights to go through where you don't want them to.
