I've always viewed Pava somewhat as a cross between Anthony Perkins in "Psycho" and Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lechter in "Silence of the Lambs." 
Just a quiet, unassuming, polite instrument of death. With a minor penchant for cannibalism. (Is it cannibalism if you eat sentient beings who are not of your species?

That literally almost made me throw up when I read it. I NEVER thought that would happen to me with anything involving the Star Trek name.
But yeah, that definitely contributed to the "psychopath" impression, in my book!

Seriously, though, he's mellowed with age. When he was younger, the guy was just plain nasty!
