Best season 2 of any series

TOS, followed by TNG then VOY. I still found DS9 to be unwatchable in season 3, ENT in a distant last.

Season 2 of Classic Trek is my all time favorite season as well. Season 2 of TOS had "The Doomsday Machine", truely one of the best episodes of TOS. :thumbsup:

Season 3 of TOS is probably the worst season of any star trek series. Even the half way decent ones like "The Tholian Web" got tiresome.

I went for Season 2 of Voyager. There was one episode that was great...which was Deadlock. Great episode

I think DS9, and VOY both had alot of good episodes in their second seasons. So I would say tie between those two, but since we only get one vote I went for DS9, simply because it is my favorite series overall.

DS9 for me as well.

Everything including and after The Maquis 2-parter was fantastic, and even before that there were episodes like Whispers and Armageddon Game.

The only other one that was anywhere near was TOS.

TOS: Not quite as good as the truly outstanding first season and getting a little more formulaic and cheaper in tone, but still mostly great.

TNG: Not as teeth grindingly bad as the first season, with a handful of truly good episodes, but still consistently naff and mediocre.

DS9: Surprisingly decent and much better on hindsight, retaining most of the better elements of TNG and finding it's own voice.

VOY: Also overall better on hindsight, but comparable to the sixth season in having a equal ratio of good and awful episodes.

ENT: I haven't seen it, but I heard it didn't go down too well with even it's most steadfast fans and arguably hastened ENT's comparatively premature demise.

I know Season 2 was when I stopped watching during it's first run. IMHO that was when the show was pretty much all of the same Trek plots that had been done since TNG. I did go back when the fourth season started though. I kinda wish I had stuck with it, because from what I've read Season three seemed like was actually pretty cool.
