Since we'll a couples into 2016, I thought it might be fun to do pick some best of Trek Lit categories for last year. I haven't read anything from last year myself, so I won't be voting. This thread is for individual books. I'm going off of the list on Memory Beta, so I believe this will be using the publication date. I'll be including E-novella and full length novels. I'll be doing other threads for comics, official non-fiction real world and in universe, series, and writer. You can pick only 1 option, and the poll will close in 2 Weeks. Which ever book has the most votes at the end will be the unofficial best book of 2015.
Books of 2015:
TNG: Takedown
TOS: Savage Trade
TOS: Shadow of the Machine
ENT RotF: Uncertain Logic
TOS: Crisis of Consciousness
TNG: Armageddon's Arrow
DS9: Sacraments of Fire
NF: The Returned Pt 1
SKRs: Long Shot
NF: The Returned Pt 2
VOY: Atonement
NF: The Returned Pt 3
TTN: Sight Unseen
SKRs: All That's Left
TOS: Child of Two Worlds
DS9: Ascendance

I think this is a great idea for a thread. Very fun! Looking at that list I'm dissapointed in how few of those I've read. My reading pile is so tall. I hope to widdle it down quite a bit this year.

I included them with the novels. I didn't want to do to many categories, and I figured they were close enough to the full length novels to put them together.

If you vote could you please post something so we can keep the thread active while the poll is open.

Tough one, Takedown was such a fun fast-paced romp, Atonement sorted the end of the arc. I voted the same for both of them.

Personally I went for Takedown, it's works great as a stand alone, it features the best crew, and a calback to an interesting race. Atonement came out late, ruining my holiday*, and crashing my reading schedule (I've only read 2 books in the last 4 months)

* hyperbole

I love the Voyager novels but voted for Takedown as it was nice to have the TNG characters in a fun and exciting story and Ezri and Aventine was the icing on the cake.

But it was a very close call between it and the Voyager novel and an honorouble mention for Sight Unseen too.

I was debating between Sacraments of Fire and Armageddon's Arrow. Went with Sacraments based on its writing style. Still behind on Voyager novels.

This was as a tough call--Takedown, Uncertain Logic, Armageddon's Arrow, Sacraments of Fire, Atonement, Sight Unseen, and Ascendance all stand out and are standouts. And though I did vote for DS9 as Best Series (and deservedly, I believe), and as biased toward DS9 in general as I am, I have to stick with the conclusion to Kirsten Beyer's trilogy.

Had "Voyager" the series been like her take on the series and characters, it likely would have challenged my assessment of "Deep Space Nine" as the most interesting series and my favorite.

It was hard to choose I voted for Enterprise Uncertain Logic.. I also really like Takedown and the other books listed too.

I went with Takedown. I'll admit I haven't read them all, yet, but it seems like the ones I haven't read would be hard pressed to beat that.

The poll is closed.
Wow, Atonement is our top choice with 18 votes, 10 more than the second place book, Uncertain Logic. Third place goes to Takedown with 6 votes.

Also it looks like you meant Takedown by the second "Atonement", but Uncertain Logic beat it with 8 votes.
