Best Moments in the Dark Knight Film Trilogy

I haven't seen Batman Begins for a while, but the bit that always sticks with me is the 'swear to me' scene.

In TDK, pretty much any moment with The Joker, but especially the pencil scene. It took me completely by surprise when I first saw it.

TDKR...the first fight with Bane was awesome, and I loved the moment when he revealed that he'd been dwelling under Batman's armoury.

One of the scenes near the end just tickles me, where after all he's done Bane is in the friend zone.

From Batman Begins.

Bruce carrying a pistol trying to shoot Joe Chill. Its a scene that makes perfect sense but I've never seen before in comics or otherwise. It made Bruce more human and tortured while being completely shocking to this Batman fan.

From the Dark Knight one scene that hasn't been mentioned.

[Batman is holding Maroni out over a ledge]
Batman: I want The Joker.
Salvatore Maroni: From one professional to another, if you're trying to scare somebody, pick a better spot. From this height, the fall wouldn't kill me.
Batman: I'm counting on it.
[he drops Maroni off the ledge, breaking his legs]

What's this thing about "friend zone"? I've already seen a TDKR poster with that. I get if it's a joke, but otherwise, huh? I don't get what exactly is supposed to indicate that Bane was in love with Talia? All that Talia said is that "his only crime was that he loved me", but she's talking about Bane having protected her from the start. Sure, it's possible for him to have fallen in love with her when she grew up, but there's no confirmation of that, and Talia says nothing of the sorts. If the idea is that he protected her in prison out of romantic love, that would make him a pedophile. I dunno, I don't normally jump to conclusions that a character is a pedophile until it's confirmed.

And what do you mean by "all he's done"? I assumed he really wanted to destroy Gotham for reasons (which are stupid in the first place, but it's equally stupid that Talia would be so obsessed with destroying Gotham). I find it pretty hard to believe that he did all that, what, to get to be Talia's boyfriend? Despite the fact that there were all going to die from the bomb? :wtf:

Hmmm...excellent topic.

For BB I'd have to say the sequence when Batman fights Ra's on the train in Gotham. "I won't kill you....but I don't have to save you." Then again, perhaps if he'd saved Ra's he might have avoided everything that happened in TDKR....

TDK: Where do I begin? I suppose for me it's the whole Batman versus SWAT versus Joker sequence, juxtaposed with the two ships' crews trying to decide if they should blow up the other ship.

TDKR: Seeing Bane break Batman's back. I assumed that we would NEVER see that in a film, and yet I found myself gasping in the movie theater.

All he's done - saved her from the pit, suffered the physical scars and pain, got excommunicated from the League of Shadows, did all the dangerous terrorist missions, lived in Gotham sewers for ages, and eventually died.

It was just that last moment, where she's talking to him resting her hand on his cheek and she calls him 'friend', and it cuts to Bane, I just imagined him thinking 'wtf'.

It just makes me laugh to think of it in that way.

Yeah it is pretty funny I guess, since that would mean 1) that Bane was a pedophile, since saving her from the pit and suffering the scars was what he did for her when she was a prepubescent child - I guess you may want to imagine that, but I don't think he'd still be interested in her as an adult if that were the case :shifty:
and 2) that he never wanted to destroy Gotham to begin with and wasn't into the League of Shadows ideology (not sure why he would have been bothered with being excommunicated in that case, but anyway) and never believed in anything he spouted with so much conviction, but was just pretending so he could get into Miranda's pants? :wtf: (Metaphorically... since they would have had no time to get it on anyway, what with being busy blowing everything up and dying.)

I would assume that she called him friend because that's what they were. Sure, maybe he was in love with her, it's not impossible, but there's nothing that actually confirms that. Hey, Alfred says he loves Bruce, maybe he's in love with him. :)

And even if he were, I don't see how that would mean that, if they weren't lovers before, she would have to bestow sex or romantic love on him or something "because of what he did". Which, BTW, all their henchmen did as well, so maybe she (or Bane, depends on how the henchmen swing) should 'reward' them, too.
