Best Kirk Stunt Double : Worst Kirk Stunt Double

So far, so good in the close ups but…
In Jurassic Park (1993) there is a climactic scene where our heroes are escaping a room with raptors in it by crawling across the ceiling tiles. One of the raptors climbs high enough to push up a tile as Lex (Ariana Richards) is crawling over it. The tile falls through, almost dumping Lex onto the floor below. A stunt double performed the drop of Lex grabbing the ceiling grid and pulling herself back up.

The overhead shot looks straight down at the dinosaur below. And Lex briefly looks straight up into the camera during the scramble. This planned glance digitally replaced the stunt double's face with that of Richards. The technique was very crude, relying on both performers to do the upward glance at the same rate. This may have been the first such "digital double" in feature films, but more exotic digital doubles are routine now—along with rejuvenating older actors or even restoring dead ones.

But Kirk? He likes to climb mountains.

It looks like the walls' stunt double were the transporter room walls (at least based on paint color.) :rommie:
