Well, yeah, I know.

But if Brandon Lee hadn't died. He would've made an awesome, no, GREAT neo.

He's got a lot more screen presence than Kenau Reeves. I mean, I liked Keanu in The Matrix but the man has all the screen presence of an empty can of generic lemon/lime soda.

Keanu's disinterested alien quality serves him well though for a character who believes there's something off and unreal about the world in which he lives. I don't know that Brandon Lee would be able to convey that though his kung fu would surely be good.

I seem to remember that Brandon was a candidate for the roll at the time. I could be wrong. I do regret the movie that might have been....

^^ According to IMDB he died six years to the day before the US release of The Matrix so that's unlikely.
