Best episodes of Dark Angel?

ReadyAndWilling

Fleet Captain
hey guys, i'm thinking about watching this show again. was just wondering what the best episodes were?

i really loved the episodes involving the 'red series', i think one of them was called 'red'?

thanks

All I remember at this point is that season two sucked, but season one was mostly awesome.

The Berrisford Agenda from season two was outstanding. It was the best episode of season two. It didn't focus on Max, so I don't know if that's significant. Alex was the best addition to season two.

It's been so long since I've seen it, I don't remember the best episodes, but I do remember I liked this series a lot and was bummed it got canceled. I wanted to see the story further develop, oh well.

I can't remember specifics of episodes, either (hard to believe the show is 10 years old!). I do, however, feel the first season was, as a whole, really good, but they decided to fix what wasn't broken for Season 2 and as a result they wrecked it. I watched 3 episodes of the second season and it's one of the only cases where a show I loved one year completely turned me off almost instantly the next, to the point where I had a chance to buy Season 2 on DVD for a few bucks not long ago and I didn't even think at that price it was worth the money. And that's even considering the fact that Nana Visitor of DS9 and Ashley Scott who later starred in Birds of Prey and Jericho were involved in that second year and I'm a big fan of both actresses.

Your mileage may vary; I've heard people say they prefer Season 2 over Season 1, as well.

Alex

I thought season 1 was great. In season 2, they decided to expand the scope of Manticore and the consequences for bringing the organization down. I also thought the arc story they were developing, that the transgenics (specifically, Max) had some supernatrual cultish connections was great. I still wonder where they were going with that.

The pilot remains my favorite season 1 episode. Loved the two episodes o the Red series and the season 1 finale, "And Jesus Brought a Casserole". I liked the addition of Alec in season 2 as much as I disliked every minute of screen time for the Jar Jar Binks-esque, "Dog Boy". Overall though, I liked season 2, but for different reasons than I liked season 1.

Season two episode five, "Boo".

All the Manticore creatures and what not are able to roam the streets of Seattle openly on Halloween.

i'm watching the show from s2 now. i'm starting to remember how awesome that 'mr. white' character was.

which episodes focus on him?

Yeah, I think it was mostly Dog-Boy that turned me off the show. I too only have season 1 on DVD, and don't care to get 2.

Did they ever explain the connection between the Manticore symbol and the cult that White was apart of?

I'm on episode 3 now so the season is just starting.

I liked the show a lot:techman:
The 1st season was the better one:cool:, everything was holding together nicely and the characters where interesting.
I think on the 2nd season they changed the show maybe bit too much, though there was some good episodes still, especially on the later part of the season.
I really hated the fact that Lydecker was written out from the show:borg:
Im planning to rewatch the show at somepoint, as soon as I replaced the DVDs that where damaged during my move:bolian:

ya, it is great man.

i haven't seen all of season 1 for a long time. i really like the episode 'rising'. what other ones should i be looking out for?
