As a fan of Larry Niven's "Tales of Known Space" universe and anthology, I have to go with "The Slaver Weapon"
(To this day the fact that Mr. Spock was the replacement/stand in for a Pierson's Puppeteer still makes me laugh.)

One has to remember in "Slaver Weapon" they were on a planetoid that might well have had significantly less than 1g gravity. I imagine it would be a challenge to run in such an environment.

I've always really enjoyed "Beyond the Farthest Star." I find it very Star Trek-y.

Except for Yesteryear-- all the sequel episodes were awful...Mudds, Once Upon a Planet, Tribbles. As were all the "what if" episodes...what if Kirk turns into a water breather?, what if the crew grew younger?, what if the crew shrinks, etc.

I also think in most cases the best TAS episodes likely could have been adapted for live-action.

"Beyond The Farthest Star," "Yesteryear," "One Of Our Planets Is Missing," "Slaver Weapon," "The Infinite Vulcan," "The Pirates Of Orion," "Time Trap," "The Survivor," "Jihad," "The Lorelei Signal," "Albatross" and "The Magicks Of Megas-Tu" felt like better efforts to me.

"Eye Of The Beholder" felt like a retelling of "The Cage." And "How Sharper Than A Serpent's Tooth" was a retelling of "Who Mourns For Adonais?" Both were meh.

It is a good story. The clues to the giant Spock are there earlier in the story and so it's not really out of left field, but it's something that wouldn't work as live-action. It would have to be rethought.

Irwin Allen made giants look amazing. Trek pulled it off with Apollo, I think it woul dhave worked in live action. Just can't think of a good reason why they should. Why have Giant Clones?
