This is the last poll for Deep Space Nine. Over the last month the Trek BBS has voted its seven favorite episodes. Now it's time to vote the favorite episode of the whole series! The winner will go up against the best episodes of the other series.

Winners to date:
Duet (Season 1)
The Wire (Season 2)
The Die Is Cast (Season 3)
The Visitor (Season 4)
Call to Arms (Season 5)
In the Pale Moonlight (Season 6)
What You Leave Behind (Season 7)

I have a very, very different set of best episodes for each season, but out of those selected, I have a hard time picking between Duet, The Visitor and Pale Moonlight.

In the end, I'll choose The Visitor. Pretty much perfect, followed by Duet.

Pale Moonlight for me,

Visitor - Really enjoyed it, a very close 2nd for me.
What you leave behind - good episode, but the whole firecave component killed it for me.
The other 4 i enjoyed a lot as well but IMHO not as close to "The best" as ITPM and Visitor.

In the Pale Moonlight. Just a great episode in every way. Garak was terrific, as always, and Sisko's fight with morality was very well done.

this was hard because I love both the Visitor and Duet. but in the end I had to go with Duet because it makes me think while The Visitor makes me feel. nothing wrong with the latter, but the Duet has just that much more significance, especially for these times.

The Visitor without question. I've sung it's praises many times around here so I won't be repetitive, but it is a masterful episode.

This one is really, really hard. Of all these excellent episodes I finally went for "Duet" because it holds a special place in my heart as the episode that really hooked me on DS9 and because it was the one that moved me most (yes, I cried harder than during Visitor).

In The Pale Moonlight, by a nose.

But I'm getting to the point where I could see Duet taking the top spot.

Despite some great episodes among the season winners, this was an easy choice for me: "In the Pale Moonlight".
