Yeah, Sisko has the best dad vote in my book. I wish he’d kicked Worf’s butt around the station.

If Alexander had been with Worf from the start, and at the age he should have been (about 9), Sisko might have done just that.
Sisko wouldn’t have understood Worf ditching his own kid. “Mr. Worf, you made that child. You will bring him here and be a responsible parent, and I will make certain of that. Is that clear, Commander?!”
Brief tenure admittedly, but George Kirk from Trek 09 should get at least a very small nod… and makes you wonder, had he lived, what his parenting would have been like…
Clearly, he was decent, if the Prime Timeline is an indicator. Both his boys did well for themselves.
Back to best dads in Trek, Captain Picard, as much as he initially claimed not to do well around children, proved he could be a good father figure. Will Riker needed a father figure and got one. Wesley, too.
Don't forget Meribor and (young) Battai.
I think Sisko's "fatherhood" story...that of being a single dad, raising a son in a very tough environment, overcoming the tragic loss of his wife...is unquestionably the best. He's a role model for dads like me (and I, thankfully, do not have the hardships) who aspire to do right by their sons and show them love, discipline, kindness and strength.

I think Miles gets runner-up. We see him being loving and caring with Molly and later, Kirayoshi. The man took his baby to work with him! And not like Gary the Stormtrooper!
I think a Will Riker vote is defensible, though I think Sisko takes it. Rom gets the Bronze.

Sisko can't be topped and a lot of these others are admittedly good candidates for second place, but my vote for runner-up has to go to M'Benga.

Sisko was definitely the best dad. And I like how you are thinking with M'Benga. (That was just heartbreaking, the end of "The Elysian Kingdom". I'm starting to shed a single man tear just thinking about it. The style of that episode reminds me a lot of SUPERNATURAL episodes that start off on the funny side, but end in a really dramatic turn... not surprising, considering Davy Perez was on SUPERNATURAL's staff for several years. Or SG-1's "WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY", possibly the greatest comedy in that franchise, and at the end when Jack talks to the archaeologist and how he lost his son... man, that hit hard.)
