Best Current 'Bad Ass' TV Series

I recent got into wathcing Breaking Bad via Netflix and it got me thinking, what as some of the most 'Bad Ass' shows on TV today:

My short list:

The Walking Dead
Breaking Bad
Boardwalk Empire
Game of Thrones
Sons of Anarchy

I guess my defininition of 'bad ass' is where we enjoy watching characters behaving badly. The Soprano's was probably one of the best all time shows in this catagory IMO.

Dexter used to be supremely badass, but Ive heard it went downhill in the most recent season.

Justified is a great badass show.

I second that. "Justified" is seriously badass. I think "Dexter" still is, but not as much as it used to be.

"Hell on Wheels" is another show that is VERY badass. It's brutal but fascinating. For all-time badass show, I'd have to give it to "Deadwood." Not only was it exceptionally well written, with great actors, but it depicted the brutality in every single aspect of the people's lives.

She is indeed, but give the sheriff another chance. I like that quiet man in charge type, and you can tell he's being hit with stuff in that county that he never expected.

But Walking Dead certainly has some badass going on & it appears to be planing more for next season

I'm also a Breaking Bad fan, & it too has some finely tuned badassery

Still looking in to Hell On Wheels. It seems somewhat weak at times in their purposeful badass efforts

^Re: Hell on Wheels---the pilot is pretty "meh," but the later episodes are great, IMHO. I hope the second season doesn't suffer from "sophomore slump."
