Best Comic character

Well, here goes my list:

- Spiderman
- Superman
- Wolverine
- Jackie Estacado (The Darkness) a fantastic character this one.
- The Spawn
- Naruto
- Kakashi

Dennis the Menace & Gnasher (English Beano, not the awful American thing)
The Bash Street Kids
Doomlord
Dan Dare
The Mekon
Asterix

Those were my favourites, although I haven't read a comic since I was a child.

Even though it ended it's run years ago, I still find James Robinson's and Tony Harris' Starman very entertaining.

Of comic strips, Popeye is a wonderful, unique character. Fantagraphic's collections of Segar's "Thimble Theater" makes for very enjoyable reading indeed.

another vote for Asterix and Obelix, and Calvin & Hobbes.

X-Men's Beast and Jubilee, too.

Beta Ray Bill
Quasar (Wendell Vaughn)
Silver Surfer
Ronan The Accuser
Gladiator

Kyle Rayner
John Stewart
Batman
Captain Marvel
Prometheus

In no order, a few that pop into my head...

Golgo 13
Popeye
Batman
Superman
Captain Marvel
Captain America
Calvin and Hobbes
Charlie Brown

Green Lantern (Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner, not so much Kyle Rayner or Jon Stewart)

Superman
J'onn J'onzz
Green Arrow (Oliver Queen)
Wonder Woman
Batman
Green Lantern
The Flash
The whole Peanuts bunch
Das kleine Arschloch (Little Asshole)
Hellboy

And one I'd forgotten was Lucky Luke.

The Peanuts gang will always be among my favorites.

I was a big Dick Tracy fan until all that business started with the moon people and Moon Maid and the magnetic space coupe. I think Chester Gould was getting a bit senile by then.

I had a crush on Brenda Starr. She was a hottie.

Batman and his accompanying characters (Robin, Batgirl, etc)
Superman and his accompanying characters (Supergirl, Superboy, etc)
Wonder Woman

I grew up around Italian and French comics, so I have to go with

Tintin
Obelix
Mister No
Chico (from Zagor)
pretty much anyone from Alan Ford except for the eponymous character

As far as U.S. comics go,
Calvin
Invincible
Death

Not to detract from the topic, but has anyone noticed that the Original Poster seems to have started a topic that corresponds to the subject matter of the website link he posted in his signature? Is this a covert way of hyperlinking his site for more traffic, or am I paranoid?
