Best Call of Duty game

So, in your opinion, which is the best CoD game? For me, it's tough deciding between CoD 1 and CoD 4, but I say it's CoD 4. Every CoD after Modern Warfare 2 has been bad imo.

Bearing in mind that I've only played the PC versions of:-

COD/UO
COD2
COD4-MW
COD-MW2

It would probably just edge out at COD2 with Modern Warfare 1 following. I have enjoyed all of these, but those are the two I've replayed most.

MW2 close runner up, but my fondest memories are still UO.

The original Modern Warfare is heads and shoulders above the rest, IMHO. The only one I haven't played is COD 2

Personally speaking, MW2 was my favorite of the Infinity Ward CoDs.

Can't speak for the Treyarch games as I haven't played a single one of them. The consensus among players at the moment seems to be that BLOPS 1 was the best Treyarch CoD so far.

BTW, if this was about "most-important-in-the-grand-scheme-of-things CoD", my vote would've been for CoD 4 - obviously.

Treyarch's CoDs aren't that good. World at War is the best Treyarch game, imo.

If Grey Matter Interactive is counted as Treyarch, then UO was the best Treyarch game.

Whatever one's preference may be, given the nature of the CoD playerbase, which I wouldn't dream of disparaging, most players don't even know who or what an Infinity Ward and/or Treyarch even is.

CoD4 IMO. The multi player is head and shoulders above any of the others, and the SP wasn't too shabby either. All Ghillied Up is still my favourite SP mission from any CoD game.

Best SP campaign, IMO, CoD2.

I chose CoD2, but it could just as well have been MW2. Seems like most people's opinion is similar. I haven't played much of the games Before CoD2, though.

Best SP campaign, IMO, CoD2.

I really liked the follow up mission "One Shot, One Kill", especially the part at the end where you have to defend yourself against waves of enemy soldiers until the extraction chopper arrives.. frantic shooting, relocating and setting traps under high duress. Awesome!

For me it's still Modern Warfare 2 as it's the game i'm most familiar with and the Single Player was like an amped Michael Bay movie at times.

I personally didn't like CoD 2 as much as CoD 1.
