- Liam Neeson? Best thing he ever did was narrate the IMAX Mount Everest film.

Are you dissing Schindler's List?

I know, it's not an exhaustive list, but I think there is something to the concept. Oh, sure they all want a paycheck, but these manly men of macho manliness are not the kind who bury themselves in worlds of fantasy, yet, ironically they make for wonderfully believable, authentic fantasy characters!

Hey, I watched "Mind-Meld" in so many words Mr. Shatner indicated he doesn't get it; sure he appreciates Trek; it gave him everything he has, he know it's a good show, but he's not a trekker.

Nimoy said (at one time)"I'M NOT SPOCK!"

Shatner doesn't get it.

Alec Guiness, in the end, said Star Wars is meaningless banalities or something.

Liam Neeson said similar.

Harrison Ford never goes to conventions.

And yet, here we have the greatest sci-fi characters.

So I say for Trek 11; hire actors who loath Star Trek.
I don't comment on SW but you got your facts wrong regarding Nimoy and the Shat. If you didn't read 'I Am Not Spock' the point of it was that Nimoy was sick of being known for only being Spock. In "I Am Spock' he discusses how regretted a lot of what was in the former book and appreciates and accepts his role in the history of the franchise. Not to mention, if you've eer seen him interviewd (just watch 'Trekkies') Nimoy has a great affinity for Star Trek and its fans. Shatner simply din't understand the phenomena but now he does after going incognito to conventions and subsequently writing 'Get a Life' in which he discusses all of his wonderful experiences.
