best acted Voyager episode

I'm going with an unconventional choice in the best acted Voyager episode The Bride of Chaotica. Reasons being:

1. The actors poked fun at their own characters.

2. Seven has a hilarious scene where she foils Toms attempt at the holodeck by unplugging the robot

3. Janeway brilliantly makes fun of old fashioned sci-fi in a way that's making fun of newer sci-fi.

That's a great episode.

Tom Paris: One more thing: if you have trouble with Chaotica or you can't get to the death ray, you can always uncork the pheromones.

Tom Paris: Uh... Chapter 16: Spell of the Spider. Arachnia sends Chaotica a vial of her irresistible potion. Now, whenever he gets a whiff, he's under her spell.

Another one of my unconventional episodes in terms of best acted is Q2 only because Delancy is always a treat on any Trek series and brings out the best in the others [I also think he and Janeway have good onscreen chemistry] but also I swear that when Janeway walks into the engine room she when the younger Q had turned it into a bar she says, "What the fuck is going on" but it was bleeped out. And the classic when Q says to Janeway and the younger Q when they discover he had fooled them, '....if you only could see the looks on your faces...' [makes a mirror appear in their hands] '...ah but you can....'

I know that scene. I think Kate actually stopped herself from saying 'fuck'.

I also think Janeway is the only captain that I can think of where the word 'fuck' coming out of her mouth would not sound out of place.

Delancy is a great actor, though. He really shines in whatever he does.

That's what I"m talking about. If you watch the net version of the scene she definitely is saying a bleeped out 'fuck.' If you watch the broadcast version on Spike it's deleted.

I say she said it - it was a slip - and they deleted it out.

Exactly. Which is why Q2 is up there in my book on the best acted Voyager episodes. First of all I can definitely see Mulgrew swear like a sailor. But moreover, the character she played in similar circumstances would do so as well.

Leaving it too a Q to make a captain wanna swear!

I think out of all the Q eps. this one works the best for me because it's Q back to his devious self.

I don't think she said f*cking. Maybe Kate was about to, but stopped and then continued without. I think it was an intended dramatic pause, to show how Janeway's trying to find a diplomatic word.
But I agree, Q2 is a great episode. Love the "Don't you Aunt Kathy me!" line!!! Gotta love pissed-off Kathy.
