^ Hmm, judging by those pics, the difference is more negligable than I thought. The ridges are definitely more prominant (taller and wider) in picture #1, but the major difference seems to really have been in the hair, and in particular the eyebrows. They definitely softened her look quite considerably after the "Caretaker" episode. De-emphasised her Klingon-ness.
