Re: Being Human: "Wouldn't It Be Nice (If We Were Human)" - 2/7 on SyF
I thought it was a very solid episode. I loved all three stories.
- Our vamipre hooks up again with his hot one-night stand and together they battle a need for blood between bouts of hot bloody sex. I don't think I've ever seen a take on vampires where they drink eachother's blood. I also find it interesting that they can do that, yet find warewolf blood repulsive.
- Ghost girl Sally has to put up with her fiance and best friend getting together and when she finally comes to terms with it, the fiance drops by hoping she's still around in some form. I like this little twist. In fact, I like the continued inclusion of the fiance. It reminds me of Dead Like Me.
- And finally, Josh finds a fellow warewolf who can guide him. I liked the look we got into what goes on when these people transform. It was a little "too much information", but that's what made it real. Plus, this new guy seems like a creep. Can't wait to see how they get rid of our helpful, yet unwelcome friend. I did like how he picked up the woman in the bar though and how Josh failed miserably when he tried to do the same later on at work. Bad timing and no real mojo-channelling there. Also, one thing I found odd was that this other warewolf didn't seem to transform when Josh did. I wonder if there's anything to that.
I haven't seen the UK version, so there's no "been there, done that" for me. Is that why viewership is dwindling? Or is it something else? Even the participation in these threads is dwindling.
