Being Human - Any Good?

The mix of a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost is not arbitrary. The way I interpret it they reflect the state of mind and personality of each character; the recovering addict, the closet case and the girl with low self-esteem. Or to render it down even further; the struggle with self control, self hate and self doubt. Anna isn't "weak" because of a fault by the actress or the writer, she's weak because that's who she is; intensely co-dependent.

And yet when I pointed this out to the cast and creator at Comic-Con last year, they all laughed at me as if I was bizarre for that interpretation. I noted that essentially BH is the story of a struggling addict who's trying to avoid slipping back into his 'partying' ways with old friends, a guy with an STD who's terrified of intimacy, and a domestic violence victim.

But yeah, good show.
