Season 3 of Being Erica begins September 21st on CBC in Canada. Anyone watching? I think this is one of the best shows on right now and I can't wait to find out what season 2's ending was all about.

The first two seasons are available on DVD.

Oh. My. God.

I need to get the Second Season DVD now, lord knows when the US will get S3.

Yes, looking forward to it. I'm in! And make her a genre babe already!

Btw, I've heard that Soapnet, where it airs in the US, will be going away, which means it needs a new home. Soapnet was never a great home for it anyway as it's kind of misleading. Needs something where it will be seen by more people.

I know Erin - used to work with her at a restaurant a long time ago and she dated one of my friends for a while. Really nice girl, haven't seen her in years though but am very happy she's found success.

Hmmm, not too sure what to think of the group therapy idea.
I agree.

Spoilers ahead...

The premiere was a bit underwhelming. Looks like some of us were right about Erica though. I'm surprised they revealed that so soon.

Ummmm. How is that spoilers when it's cryptic and, frankly, says nothing?

What were you "right" about and what was "revealed so soon?"

"Group Therapy" what is that and how does it work?

I wanted to comment without spoiling too much. You'd be surprised at what some people can glean from even the vaguest of posts.

Basically, some of us watching the show developed a theory about where Erica was headed and it turns out we were right. I don't want to say anymore because I don't want to ruin any surprises for you. I might say something eventually though, or someone else might. As for group therapy... (Stop now if you don't want to know.) Erica entered a new room where she met up with other people who were also patients of Dr. Tom. Looks like this season will involve her going through therapy/time travel adventures with them.

Yeah, exactly. I'm just not so sure how I feel about other people tagging along when they haven't been part of the original memory, you know? I'm sure it was done this way to add dynamic, but it's bound to create problems for the writers. Don't want to be too specific to spoil anything for others, but it seemed awkward when Erica was trying to help the guy she partnered up with, and not because of it was a difficult situation, but because she wasn't there originally. I just hope that the partners don't end up being an obstruction when they haven't been part of the original memories.

^ Yeah, that's how I feel as well. However, I certainly won't not watch it even if I never warm to the concept of "Phase 2".

Also, would she have found herself in that room no matter which door she'd picked? I liked the new title sequence as well.

One thing I wonder is if her "therapy" isn't supposed to result in her becoming a "Therapist" herself at somepoint?

Interstingly, and fascinatingly, enough when I read this thread yesterday it prompted me to order the DVDs of Season 2 from Amazon.ca. Standard multi-day, $10 international shipping and the package wasn't expected to arrive until like the first week of October.

The package arrived today!

Yeah, makes me wonder. In the end, maybe it was just to show that she did have to make a decision, but that they all led to the same place.

The title sequence was the same for me as it was in Season 2.

Btw Trekker, that's some fast delivery! I've been impressed with Amazon.ca as of late. Used to be they'd be really slow at sending things, but within the last year they've really improved on the speed. I think they've been doing like Scotty in terms of estimation.

As for the therapy itself and her becoming a therapist, well, it's like Agent Richard is saying. It's one of those spoilery things, and it's what he meant as in big reveal. I'm staying vague because it's touched upon to set the tone for the 3rd season. You'll be glad we didn't say anything until after you've caught up.

All I can say without really spoiling it is that the Phase 2 you're hearing about is the path to getting there.

FWIW, I live in Kansas, USA. It's my presumption, in spite of my $10 basic shipping I was charged for/paid for. I was somehow given overnight. Which, still, is pretty impressive. They'd pretty much of had to of put it on the plane the moment I ordered the thing!

FWIW, I've seen most of the second season from Soapnet. :hangs head in shame:

Nothing to be ashamed of. Soapnet isn't the best place for it though. It needs a place with broader appeal, like Syfy for instance. Maybe that's where they'll put Season 3 since Soapnet is disappearing.

My guess is that you have an Amazon warehouse nearby that happened to have a supply of the DVD set. It wouldn't have arrived that fast otherwise.

Possibly, but the package had a Canadian return address on it. Anyway, it'll be a while before I watch the episodes on it I've not seen as I need to finish watching The Sopranos first and, well, TV season is here!

:)

But Erin Kerplunk.
