Behold! Excalibur!

Red Shirt
I took some new photos of my 1/1400 scale AMT Excalibur on Sunday and created these images using Paint. She's built from the old clear Yamaguchi kit and lit with grain-of-wheat bulbs. If I were building her today I'd use LED's of course...

nice! i've been working on an ambassador class model myself for bloody ages.

i know everyone gushes over the original probert design with the swoopy secondary hull, but the one we actually got is my fave trek ship design

Thanks guys! The model was a pain to build, the clear plastic was more brittle than the regular opaque variety. I built it straight from the box with the addition of some aftermarket decals for the transporter emitters and escape pod hatches. I also added some extra light bulbs to the saucer purchased from my LHS. Everything runs off a 6 volt C-cell battery box.
