^thank you!

Guys, it's obviously a Star Wars allegory. The guy is making it like he's Luke.

Edit to add: The picture is also a dead giveaway.

Hey, you're too smart for this thread. Get the hell out of here.

It's kind of sad that I've seen enough MadBaggins posts that I didn't catch the obvious SW parallel here.

Now I feel really stupid, thanks. :klingon:

Well, about halfway through the story, I started thinking this seemed awfully familiar. Once I hit the "bikini" part of the story, I knew exactly what was going on. I posted, then went back and saw the image link. My suspicions were confirmed, and I had to say something. :D

I laughed. Hard. I initially thought it was MB's Christmas Special but then I read the final sentence!
Very clever, clever. But don't you ever dare become a rodent!

i'm too lazy/not clever enough to come up with this on my own. saw it on another forum.

i read it to the end, saw a vader mention and was like WTF? then i re-read it and saw what they did there. totally didn't get the star wars theme the first time through.

Not a bad story, but you left out the part where your sister's planet was completely blown up and she was tortured, and neither had any emotional effect on her whatsoever.

That's great. I was about to do a sockpuppet check before the story started to seem somewhat familiar.

You mean...even after reading the Darth Vader part at the end...people still didn't get it!?!

Not the sharpest tools in the TrekBBS, are we? Yikes.

I'm surprised so few actually got the joke... I mean, it wasn't that hard to figure out.

I didn't think about it being a joke until toward the end simply because 1) I wasn't familiar with the poster, and 2) I am familiar with a few other posters here.
