before I die...

It doesn't matter because what ever I say will never happen. I have no hopes and dreams...they all died long ago.

Yeah, I'm familiar with that feeling too. Except that I was taught never to give up, and I never will.

I would like to achieve the rank of Admiral on a Star Trek message board.

I've taken up the goal my dad had. To see every Major League Baseball park in existence. He accomplished that, now it's my turn.

That's awesome. :bolian:

- memoirs of my parents. Mum wanted to write hers, but she passed away too soon. Dad's been writing diaries for years, says I'll get them when he's gone.

That's really sweet.

My wife and I do have the goal of visiting every time zone on Earth...and having sex in it. We're weird, I know.

You guys are my new favorite couple!

Randy, you ROCK!

Me, i would love to join some of you who said you'd like to space travel or meet an ET. I really really would.

And i know this will most likely never happen but i would really really love to have a walk on part or just be an extra in a star trek movie or episode. To be forever immortalized on my favorite show would be awesome.

I got real lucky to actually have one of these come true when I met Shatner on a flight...but now? I hope I get to meet Avery Brooks someday. He seems so aloof, but cool too. My only other STAR TREK 'before I die' hope would be buy the 'shooting' model of the Enteprise from TMP and just bring my friends over to stare and touch it (no...not in that way!!!)

Hey, thanks.

And I agree. I'd like to go into space too. But I'd still really like to be President for a day. I only said a week, because, knowing the government, it'll take forever to get anything done.

Beaucracy must be served after all.;)

Randy, your attitude is awesome. It really is. I wish i could get my hands on jetfire. I'd go all Moonstruck Cher on him!

I have a friend who swears he saw a spacecraft and it was only a few feet above him over his head. He is not prone to flights of fancy or bullshitting. As much as i believe in his honesty, i'm just not sure how i feel about his claim.

Or, i could be incredibly jealous that it wasn't me seeing it.

One night the dawgs put up a racket to go out (it was about 3 am, usually they sleep through the night). As i was out back with them i looked up at the night sky which i always do.....and i did see something up there. HIGH up there though. It reminded me very much of that scene in First Contact when Lilly sees the Enterprise flying (at the end of the movie). My husband insists it was space garbage or maybe even the space station.

I want it to be a spaceship dammit!

I was a 'quasi' believer in UFOs. I could never understand why they would come all the way here. And then once, while standing watch, and somewhere between Africa and Austrailia, my and my fellow bridge watch standers, saw the strangest formation in the sky, high above.

Now, you have to understand, that when the sky is clear, and you are in the middle of the ocean, the stars all seem to shine with the same intensity. From one side of the horizon to the other side. It really messed with your depth perception.

Anyway, we were out on the deck, shooting the shit, when my friend noticed this weird formation of lights. There was no sound, no nothing. I couldn't tell if they were a mile up or five thousand miles up, that's how clear it was. There were five of them in a typical arrow head formation. And then, they broke formation, and at speeds that were far too impossible, they streaked apart and ..well..were gone.

Obviously they were not natural; but nothing we have can fly that fast.

That has been my only 'UFO' sighting thus far..

My goals were small. They were what most people take for granted in every day life.

I don't want to give up and I shouldn't...but I don't know what else to do???

:(

Job(Career), wife(a woman to love and love me back the same), children of my own, house of my own...

Serious...everyone I know has all this things...I have been cursed never to have them.

[edit] Job was to vague...like a career something I want to do, not have to do...but I don't even have a job at this point.

Before I die, I'd like to increase my fanbase to a degree somewhat closer to "moderately famous." Not that I don't appreciate the readership I have now, it's just that I want to reach more people

As for more realistic goals: :rommie:

I want to visit Monticello.

I want to ride in a Hot Air Balloon.

I want to own a house in the middle of several acres of peaceful forest.

I want to find true love.

It doesn't matter because what ever I say will never happen. I have no hopes and dreams...they all died long ago.
They didn't die, pal. They're just hiding because they're scared. You just have to lure them out, as you would a kitten from behind the stove, and show them that there is nothing to be afraid of. :)

I wish i could get my hands on jetfire. I'd go all Moonstruck Cher on him!
Hey, who doesn't?

Seriously? You've abondoned your dreams of a career, wife, children and house?

How old are you and what have you done concerning a career? Let's start there.

I am 32. I wanted to be an Art Teacher...I put off going to college when I was 18 to save money...a lot happened and I never got back to going to school.

Just pat them on the head and give them little pieces of bacon or something. :D
