before I die...

Space ... the final frontier ....

I would love to leave the earth's gravity and, if I could REALLY go for the gold, look back at the earth from the moon. But, just experiencing weightlessness and being in space would make me smile like this ...

I would LOVE to go to Hawaii, to see the estate where Magnum was filmed. I know it's stupid, but it was such a big part of my childhood that it would mean a lot to me.
The estate where the house is is only sometimes open for tours, kind of hit and miss, my family lucked out. It's kind of weird because except for the main house the ground aren't laid out like on the show. My mother kept telling her four kids how hot she thought Magnum was, we didn't need to hear that.

weightlessness
Sky diving?

Before I die to have a head over heels, reciprocal in love romance. Haven't had much luck in this department so far.

I've taken up the goal my dad had. To see every Major League Baseball park in existence. He accomplished that, now it's my turn.

It doesn't matter because what ever I say will never happen. I have no hopes and dreams...they all died long ago.

BTW, about those hallucinogens: Anyone know where I can score some?

Field full of cow shit in autumn + mushroom identification book. Over here, you'd have to be blind NOT to find the buggers unless you live in a city.

Also, it's an unreasonable, totally unrealistic goal, but I'd like to go into space before I die.

^ You don't count the Virgin ships as space travel? Damned close. And the prices will come down.

As for me:
- a fantasy novel series published. Think it'll run about 6 books.
- a historical novel trilogy. Set in different times and places, with the same central character, an archaeologist. (there are other stories and genres, but these two especially).
- get my music completed and out there.
- two CDs of songs by a friend of mine that died of brain tumours Great rock.
- one TV miniseries. I have heaps of ideas for different series and genres, but there is one I'm particularly proud of, and really want to see it made.
- memoirs of my parents. Mum wanted to write hers, but she passed away too soon. Dad's been writing diaries for years, says I'll get them when he's gone. I've made some rough notes and outlines. It's a big story, hope I do it justice.
-visit Santorini. One of the historical stories is set there.

Bunch of other stuff, but comes more under the 'Personal' heading.

Too tied down to do any of it now, but this too shall pass.

That's my goal as well. Of course ball parks close and you can't stop that, so I decided to go for it from a Team point of view, and then anytime a new ball park is done for a team whose original ball park I've seen, than I'll go back. For example, I never went to Yankee Stadium before the new yard, but I would love to go to the new yard just to see a Yankee game. On the other hand, I went to Busch Stadium in St. Louis a few years before the new Busch Stadium came into existence so I need to get back to St. Louis one of these days.

How many parks have you been to.

That sounds pretty depressing. Maybe your goals were too high? What about some little steps and goals, which you could achieve in a certain amount of time. Let’s say find something that you would like to do before the summer is over, e.g. going to Disneyland (or whatever your “thing” is) :).

As for myself there are plenty of things I would like to do before I die. I actually have a list , so it’s nearly impossible to nail it down to *one* thing.
- I’ve got this book “1000 Places to See before You Die” and I hope to see at least 800 of them before I die.
- I’d like to publish a book or to successfully write a movie-script.
- I would like to have my own house in a couple of years. Or at least my own apartment. Doesn’t have to be big but it should have a garden or a balcony.

But, just experiencing weightlessness

Go use the UMass Amherst Library elevator. You become weightless for like .0001 of a second, it's insane.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I wasn't quite explicit enough. It's actually the space part that I want to experience; the weightlessness is just a side effect that I think would be intriguing. I'm a huge rollercoaster nut, and have had my share of "come out of your seat" moments there.

It will never happen, but I always thought winning an Olympic gold medal would be the deal.

My wife and I do have the goal of visiting every time zone on Earth...and having sex in it. We're weird, I know.

1. Publish a trashy romance novel. I have several partially written.

2. Complete a marathon. I'm gearing up to start training again, while I'm in remission. I don't need to post a record breaking time, just finish.

3. Swim in the Pacific Ocean -- I live on the East Coast of the USA.
