Beer: Fermentation of Joy

I've... never tried beer. It smells funny.

If you try it, you'll probably hate it.

If you try it again, you'll hate it less.

Try it a bunch more times, and you'll think it's the greatest thing ever!

It took me a long time to acquire a taste for beer, but now I love it.

I believe you. :P

Unfortunately, I can't drink alcohol at all (even in very small amounts) without it causing stomach discomfort/pain. I can never reach the point of "drunk" because I'm in too much pain to get there. I've decided in recent months that I just shouldn't even try anymore.

It sucks, because I've never really been drunk. I'll never know how it feels. :(

There are worse problems to have. As much as I enjoy drinking, I'd be happy to live without it.

Oh, for sure. I'm fine without it.

It's just kind of a downer when friends around me are all drunk and outgoing, dancing like fools, and I'm the boring one sitting at the table sipping water all night. lol

.....sitting alone at a club or bar is scary. People seem to think I'm there for.....reasons I'm not there for.

I just finished off a six-pack of these guys, myself:

Probably the best pilsner you can buy in Canada.

Yup. I'm pretty fond of the stuff myself.

My favourite beer is this one though:

You didn't miss anything.

That kind of fun where you need to be drunk to have it, and the next day you either feel like shit or can't remember what happened, or both.

I also enjoy a Yuengling whenever I get a chance to be somewhere on the East Coast. Their distribution network doesn't seem to make it West of the Mississippi.

It's actually currently the largest American-owned beer company. That doesn't say much, though. It means it's larger than the Boston Beer Company. Anheuser Busch is InBev, Miller is SABMiller, etc.
True. In fact, the president of Anheuser-Busch resigned this week as the last American that was in charge of the brewery.

Just a random fact I learned today. I knew Pennsylvania always seemed to be a good area for breweries. I didn't realize a major PA brewery is the Boston Beer Company. Apparently, Samuel Adams is increasing the size of its brewery in Pennsylvania. Maybe it's an attempt to retake the prize for largest American brewery.

ETA: Two more Pennsylvania beers I've thought of.

Victory Beers, especially Golden Monkey

Another brewery is Yards
