Been a Long Time - USS Enterprise

Hmm, well, it didn't do anything to detract from it being really good. :mallory:
Is your impulse engine a tad dark because of the nacelles blocking your lightsource and it's in the shadows?
I guess it is really hard to figure out what kind of lighting setup they used back in the day.

That is VERY kind of you! But my Impulse Engine is too dark to be a screengrab!

I dunno. It's about the same darkness when compared to the original shot. The lighting is different though as the original has at least one strongt light coming from the ~4 o'clock position casting the nacelle's shadow across the back of the saucer and impulse engine but also giving it a bit of a rim lighting. Your render is still very well done that it is difficult to tell apart :)

Thank you very much for your very kind compliment!

Sadly my engines are dark because I need to change the textures. Hm.

There were a bunch of changes to the models over the course of the first two pilots. But the impulse engine was the same coloring as the hull at the time. I'm nuts about that sort of thing. In this image, you can see that the impulse engine is the same color as the hull. Same as the first pilot.
