Beauty and the Beast: Pre-Release Discussion

This looks like it will be the best of the new live action versions, so far.

Maleficent is very different compared to Sleeping Beauty. It's worth a watch.

More than anything else what is selling me on this movie is the soundtrack and the nostaligic factor. I'm really excited to hear the soundtrack when they make it available. It will be great to hear the score on the big screen again, yes even Ariana and Legend doing "Beauty and the Beast".

We knew this was coming, but some early casting news for Disney's The Lion King remake. It will be directed by Jon Favreau and done in the same style as the 2016 Jungle Book.

Their live action remakes of animated movies, a new Star Wars film every year, the MCU, and Indiana Jones (eventually). We know who the real entertainment Kingpin is.

Yeah, that is great news which I did not expect.

I'm really looking forward to this live action version of Beauty and Beast. Disney did a nice job with Jungle Book and this is another great story. So far from clips and previews, it looks fantastic.

I really got a big kick out of the Belle clip. I was really curious to hear Emma Watson sing, and she has not disappointed.

I've got to admit, after enjoying both Jungle Book and Pete's Dragon this still does nothing for me. Regardless of that, reading this piece of censorship saddened me somewhat and I hope it remains a one off.

Children should not be censured from reality, even in a fantasy film about a furry man and his talking teapots, cast into their forms by witchcraft...

Hugo - who hears that witchy stuff isn't Godly either...

I'm going to do a tiny rant because I'll feel better afterwards.

*inhale*

Hey! Stupid jerky hateful parents! Did you fail to notice that LeFou was pretty much gaga over Gaston in the animated movie!?

Chew on that.

*exhale*

I'm good.

That review doesn't sway me. Even if it is a live action remake of the animated version, the animated movie is so good that I don't mind it. As for the ignorant bigots, what else can be expected?

I don't like that they sped up the song. It sounds off.

Wow, I can't believe that kind of thing is still happening.
You should get out more, a lot of people are really awful and can't stand the idea that LGBTQ people even exist. Many of whom are in political power in the US.

But the character was clearly in love with Gaston in the cartoon. He sings a song about how great and manly he was, he adored the man.
