Having lived in Alaska for three years, I can attest to the power of the Aurora. It is something that stays with you always. I can still see in my mind the ribbons of energy dancing in the starry night sky. I was in Alaska over 20 years ago, yet the memory is as fresh as if I saw it yesterday. If you can ever get a chance to see it in person, it is well worth the trip.

Yeah, I have a friend who's lived in Alaska for two years and has to move to Maine. One of the things that she'll miss the most are the auroras. And that was a great video. Thanks for posting!

I'd love to see them that vividly someday. I have seen them before, but only as faint, greenish smudges in the sky. It was cool, but... not quite the same.
