Beatles stageshow later years.

Imagine they were able to tour 67 to 69, ( PA systems big enough & stadiums able to hold em without riots etc. Flight of fancy I know).

Which tour would have been the coolest? St Pepper, Yellow Submarine, Magical Mystery tour, or? Imagine the possibilities, Blue meanies runnin about & such.

I read somewhere Paul actually wanted to tour again circa 69.

They could have put togeter an incredible set in '69 - but as they hated each other at the time and were rapidly disintegrating by then......

Think of the albums they could have cherry-picked a live set from - Revolver, Sgt Pepper, The White Album....

Be fun to be in on the design team. I'd have a giant Yellow sub, 2 or 3 stories tall, with separate compartments like a real sub has. One for the orchestra etc.

This.

Definitely. Woulda been something. Maybe if they brought Billy Preston along on tour, they'd have been civil to each other long enough to put on a show...

Put on the Sgt Pepper uniforms in 67, & have 40 extras with masks. Brass section, orchestra. Their 65 US tour was only 11 dates.

Just think, we'd also get some good live Beatles albums out of this.

Well, he was certainly a calming influence in early '69 for the short time he was working with them!

I don't think that a huge theatrical show would have been their style, really. A great PA system combined with a good lighting setup would have worked wonders, IMO.

But would the "fans screaming like their arse is on fire and not listening to the music because they're there to see The Beatles and not listen to them" situation have improved by then, I wonder?

:D

Be bout the same my guess. Stones had it even worse in Germany 68. They'd step onstage, the place would riot, & security would rush em off. Lucky to get 2 notes off.
