Atlantis will launch on the STS-129 mission at 2:28 p.m. EST Nov. 16.

Cool, 1/2 hour or so.

Changing to NASA channel.

Edit-Weather looks OK so far.

You sure this shouldn't have been in Sci-Tech?

Looks like a flawless climb right now, no reported engine problems-- everything is by the book.

always a great show!!!

the program is scheduled to shut down mid september next year right? how many launches are left? ive always tried to never miss one, but lately it's become like a religion to make sure not to miss one!

Bah, I caught it from the SRB jettison. Missed the launch itself.

So this is the final flight of Atlantis? She's done NASA proud.

It's okay. This is one of those crossover Topics that is right at home in Misc. :)

The announcer referred to this as the penultimate flight of Atlantis, so I guess she gets to fly one more time.

I can tell my brain's tired when I initially misread the title as "Be sure to catch the atheists!" :o

Five more to go, but I wouldn't be surprised if that takes us beyond September 2010. This year NASA launched five missions, which is the highest number since 2002.

Missions left are:
STS-130 (Endeavour) in February
STS-131 (Discovery) in March
STS-132 (Atlantis) in May
STS-134 (Endeavour) in July
STS-133 (Discovery) in September
